So here we are 3 years since we have purchased our home, and we have decided to finish our upstairs!!! Bring on 700 more square feet! I can not wait for the kids to have some space to run and play!
Ben had help from my dad with some wiring, HUGE help from our friends Brandon, John, Doug and Matt to get the bulk of our sheetrock hung, and then Brandon and Matt came additional days to help finish up. We hired the same people that plastered the downstairs to come back and do the upstairs. We then primed and painted ourselves. Then we hired someone to come in and finish the trim and doors. Ben and I layed out the tile in the bathroom, got it cut and then Terry came and helped us mud it. I grouted lastnight and the painter started today to finish the trim! Carpet Thursday, and sleepover Friday :) Aiden has a 7th birthday coming up on Monday the 2nd, so he's having a couple neighbor boys and his cousin stay the night!!! Can you say busy?! I have been to the tile store, paint store, lighting store, carpet store, hardware stores etc. etc. more times than you can count...not to mention on the phone constantly getting bid after bid after bid. Craigslist was really my friend through all that! WOW...I can't wait to kick up my feet upstairs....SOON!!!
That will be so nice when it's done! It's always a good thing to have more space for the kiddos to run around in. Be sure and post more pics when it's complete!
